Many celebrities have opted and willed to be cremated and have their ashes scattered in the Ocean. Below are just some those:

• Robin Williams, Actor 2014; his ashes were scattered in the San Francisco Bay.
• Johnny Carson, legendary “King of Late Night TV” 2005; his ashes were scattered in the Pacific Ocean.
• George Harrison, master musician, a film producer and actor – master musician – 2011; his ashes were scattered along the Ganges River in India, in accordance with his last wishes.
• Cary Grant, Actor – 1986; his ashes were scattered in the Pacific Ocean.
• Robert Mitchum, Actor- 1997; He was cremated and his ashes scattered at sea by wife Dorothy Mitchum and neighbor Jane Russell.
• Brion James, Actor – 1997; He was cremated and his ashes were scattered at sea. 
• Bill Bixby, Actor – 1993; Cremated and ashes scattered over the Pacific Ocean in Hawaii.
• Jack Albertson, Actor – 1981; He was cremated and his ashes were scattered at sea.
• Bud Abbott, Actor – 1974;  He was cremated and his ashes scattered in the Pacific Ocean .
• Dennis Wilson,  Brother of Carl & Brian Wilson of the Beach Boys; he was cremated and buried at sea off the California coast by the U.S. Coast Guard on January 4, 1984 at coordinates (33-53.9 N, 118-38.8 W).
• John Kennedy, his wife Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy, and her sister Lauren Bessette – 1999; were all cremated and their ashes scattered off the coast of Martha’s Vineyard from the USS John F. Kennedy Naval ship, where the ship was on training duty. 
• George Nader, Actor – 2002; Following a private service, Nader was cremated and his ashes scattered at sea.
• Scott O’dell, Writer – 1989; Was cremated, and had his ashes cast out to sea.
