Technical Diving- Ol Salty II NJ Nick Caruso

Scuba / Technical Diving in New Jersey on the Ol' Salty II:

NOAA defines technical diving as “all diving methods that exceed the limits imposed on depth and/or immersion time for recreational scuba diving. Technical diving often involves the use of special gas mixtures (other than compressed air) for breathing. The maximum diving depth planned for the dive or the length of time the diver wants to spend underwater will dictate the type of gas mixture used.

Technical divers often work in the range of 170 feet to 350 feet or deeper, even though the recommended maximum depth for conventional scuba diving is 130 feet in depth.

Our Diving crew consists of experienced, and are top technical diving masters, which ensures your safety while diving with us.

Ol Salty II Scuba Diving Accomodations

The OL’ SALTY II is equipped with a large dress-up table on its aft deck.
Once a dive team is ready to get geared up you bring all accessories equipment to the table. Point out your cylinder and the crew will place them on the table and help you gear-up for your dive experience.

OlSaltyII-DivingLadder

OL’ SALTY II offers the BEST dive ladder in the industry. Our ladder is a center post t-rung design that extends deep into the water. This ladder style allows divers to exit the water with all their equipment in place.
There is no need to take fins off due to the open rung design.

Ol Salty II Scuba Diving
OL’ SALTY II has a large door in it’s transom, making entries and exits safe and easy. All divers enter the water by performing a “Giant Stride” entry.  Once in the water it is a short swim to the stern down line that is tied into the dive site. The stern down line eliminates the fatigue divers experience having to surface swim all the way to the bow at the beginning of their dive.
