CAPTAIN NICK CARUSO - SCUBA BIO

Andrea Doria Charters, Capt Nick, Scuba Diving

Captain Nick is the owner and senior captain of the OL’ Salty II.

He has over 30 years of sport fishing and scuba diving experience.  Starting out as deckhand and mate, Nick is currently a licensed United State Coast Guard Master.

His passion for sport fishing and scuba diving has led him to  be one of the most experience in the world.

Captain Nick is a scuba diving professional with an arsenal of diving knowledge and experiences.

Currently maintaining NAUI Technical Course Director, Technical Divers International Instructor Trainer, American Nitrox Divers International Instructor Trainer levels of instruction, he has certified with most of the agencies including NASDS Instructor, IANTD, and PADI.

Entering underwater world at the age of seventeen, Captain Nick gained most of his knowledge by assisting other instructor and first mating on numerous vessels.  His experience of diving the shipwrecks of the Northeast developed techniques, standards, and equipment utilized today.  Captain Nick prides himself in the classes he teaches in addition to being the designer and manufacturer of the SeaDwellers Tek BC, exploration lines, and other practical diving equipment. Captain Nick is an accomplished underwater photographer and videographer, fish collector, cave diver and deep wreck salver/explorer. 

Over the years Captain Nick and his experiences have appeared in numerous news and training publications.  His profession and abilities have led groups to dives destinations around the world.

In addition to Captain Nicks sport fishing and scuba diving profession he is an accomplished Construction Engineer and member of the N.J. Carpenters Union for 18 years.
